Nigerian Singer "Simi" speaks on how hard it is to be a Nigerian

20 years old basketball player (Wayde Sims) shot and killed in a gun fight in Louisiana.

A 20-year-old American basketballer was shot and killed during a fight near the Southern University campus early Friday morning.

 

Wayde Sims, an LSU basketball player from Baton Rouge, was shot during a clash outside a Subway restaurant across from Southern's football stadium around 1:25 a.m. ET Friday.

 

A video obtained by WBRZ shows several men fighting in the street outside the restaurant. A gunshot can be heard, and Sims can be seen falling to the ground before other men escaped.

 

According to Baton Rouge police, Sims was transported to a local hospital, where he died from a gunshot wound.

 

"We are all devastated," LSU coach Will Wade said in a statement. "We need your prayers for Wayde, for his family, for all of us. We are heartbroken."

 

Wade said he was told about the shooting early Friday morning and then went to the hospital. He told the team at 6:30 a.m., when they had originally scheduled a morning workout.

 

"We want to remember Wayde, what a great person he was," Wade said at a news conference. "Besides the fact he had the best impression of me on the team, he was just an unbelievable person and was continuing to grow and had just done a great job building a bridge with our team. That's what makes it so tough for all of us, and for our team as well, is everybody liked him. Anybody he came in contact with, automatically just loved him, loved his personality. He was just a blast to be around at all times."

Wow, Man proposes to his girlfriend at her father's grave side ( Photos)

A man whose girlfriend's dad died 2015, decided to propose to her at her father's grave side with a tear jerking letter asking for permission from the dead man to marry his daughter.

 

Justin and Meg met at university and their relationship developed organically. “We spent more and more time together. From the start, Justin always told me that he knew I was the one,” Meg told HowHeAsked.

But when her dad was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in 2014, times were hard for the couple. “It was so rare that doctors have not found a cure yet. After my dad was diagnosed, Justin was always there for me whether it was a shoulder to cry on or someone to vent to. “At the time, I wasn’t the easiest person to get along with. I was confused, angry and in denial.

“After my dad passed away a year later, things were tough. My dad was my best friend and to him, I was truly his “little girl.” “Justin knew how much my dad meant to me and how difficult it is to experience the big moments in life without him.”

The romantic decided that he would involve Gino, Meg’s dad, in arguably the biggest moment of her life. Knowing that Gino’s favourite animal was a flamingo, Justin bought a lovely solar-powered decoration for his grave so the couple could take it together one weekend.

They chose the date, September 7, and Meg says she felt her dad was with her after a ‘sign’ when arriving at the cemetery. Justin told Meg to open the letter and, as she read, she realised it was written from her boyfriend to her dad asking for his blessing to marry her.

The last line said: “I hope you are smiling down on us during this moment… the moment I ask your daughter to be my wife.” Meg slowly turned and realised Justin was down on one knee. The bride-to-be says it was the happiest moment of her life.

Nigerian talented musician, Timaya has said only Innocent ‘2baba’ Idibia qualifies to call himself a legend among the active artistes in the music industry.  

 

Timaya during a recent radio interview with SoundCity FM said: “In this part of the world, many artistes when they get to 10 years, they start shouting ‘I’m a legend’, ‘legendary’. To me, in this industry, the only person that can call himself a legend is 2face. The others shouldn’t. Even if people call me a legend, I don’t like to be seen like that.”  

 

The dancehall star maintained that he is still the king of commercial music, saying, “the crown never leaves. I am Timaya anytime any day, 13 years is not three years. People don’t understand that making a hit song doesn’t mean you are a star. Stars always shine, some people can make a hit song and you will never hear of them again. There’s no year I’ve never dropped a hit song. I don’t want to be number one. I just want to be a musician. A lot of people have come and gone but I’m still here.”  

 

Timaya also gave his take on the issue of marriage, saying he is not predisposed to an elaborate ceremony.  He said: “I don’t really go for weddings like that. I like the private marriage. If I want to get married, I will not do a big gathering. One thing is to get married, the other thing is to stay married. Staying married is the hardest part. Do you know what it means for two people with different upbringings to come and start staying together? That’s not a joke.”

Nigeria crashes out of #FIBA wemen championship after loosing to USA in quarter final clash.

Nigeria's women basketball team D'Tigress have crashed out of the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup after losing to USA in their quarter-final clash played on Friday, September 28.

The Nigerian team were defeated 71-40 by the reigning world champions as they failed to seal a place in the semifinal of the tounament in Spain.

This brings the end of the road for D'Tigress after having made history at the tournament by beating Turkey to earn their first-ever win at a FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup. They also defeated Argentina and Greece to get to the quarter-final stage.

American female Rapper, Cardi B has revealed she will be getting new breasts implant before the end of this year.

 

Sharing a video of herself with her boobs taped up, she explained that she became less impressed with them after giving birth to her baby daughter Kulture.

 

According to her, she will be getting new breasts implant between November/December 2018.

Tupac Shakur was shot outside a nightclub in Las Vegas 22 years ago and was pronounced dead. But many fans still refuse to believe the rapper was killed in the drive-by shooting.

And now Michael Nice, a former security officer has prompted more talk of a conspiracy by claiming Tupac is alive and living in Cuba.

The British conspiracy theorist claims he was part of a security team that helped the rapper escape Las Vegas and smuggled him to the Caribbean. He now believes Tupac is still hiding on the island.

Speaking to TMZ, he said:

Why you think nobody been arrested if they said they the one that killed Tupac?

Because Tupac is not dead. If he was dead, they’d be arresting those dudes for murder.

You know he’s somewhere smoking a Cuban cigar on an island.

 

Michael claims he worked as security for far-left political party The Black Panthers – a movement Tupac's parents Adeni Shakur and Billy Garland were involved in - during the late 1990s. He says they heard that a hit had been put out on Tupac and deployed Michael to get him out of the country. But it was too late. On September 7, 1996, Tupac was shot.

But Michael claims he was only injured. He says he helped Tupac leave the country before someone else delivered the rapper to safety.

Michael added:

It was me, my bother, the pilot, Tupac as the co-pilot and two Panther guys on the jet.

We took off and immediately knew we were safe, we felt good and it was like escaping from prison.

There were hugs and handshakes when we finally managed to get him to Barbados.

We helped him escape and it was the best feeling.

Then my brother helped him get to Cuba from there.

 

In July it was revealed that police investigating the murder of Tupac are still looking for suspects, despite former gang member Duana 'Keefe D' Keith's admission last week. 

In a new documentary, Keefe D admitted he was in the car that fired the shots, although he refused to say who pulled the trigger.

KENYAN GOVERNOR's LOVER, SHARON OTIENO, WAS STABBED TO DEATH WITH THE GOVERNOR'S UNBORN BABY AS DNA PROVES IT.

Sharon Otieno, who was abducted and killed in a brutal way by her assailants was seven months pregnant. 

The 26-year-old second-year Medical Records and Information student at Rongo University was strangled, stabbed eight times and raped by her assailants. She was stabbed four times at the back, three times on the neck and once on the left side of her abdomen. Her unborn baby was also stabbed. Read previous post here.

Now, a paternity test by the government has proven that Migori Governor Zachary Okoth Obado was the biological father of his wife's late sister's baby who was stabbed to death alongside the mother. 

The governor had earlier admitted he had an affair with the deceased lady but denied he had anything to do with her kidnapping and death. 

According to TUKO News, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detectives are planning to invite the governor for questioning over the cold-blood murder of the 26-year-old lady whom the governor had an illicit affair with and impregnated. 

The detectives are also expected to interrogate Obado's wife, Hellen, after it emerged she exchanged some provocative text messages with Sharon a few days before the seven-month pregnant woman was found dead. 

It was also revealed that after Obado’s wife sister became pregnant, she was summoned by angry relatives who accused her of crossing the bloodline. The deceased was pressured to terminate the pregnancy to avoid a curse, but she ignored and wanted to have the baby.

The detectives are also looking at Hellen's brother, Naftali Odie, as yet another person of interest in the homicide.
