Ayodeji Ibrahim-Balogun popularly known as (Wizkid), David Adeleke as (Davido) and Yemi Alade have been recognised by 2018 ForbesAfrica’s Hit 30 Under 30 list, that they are the driving forces in the African music industry.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Abuja, reports that out of the list of 90 entrepreneurs across three sectors, Nigerians made up close to one-third of the honorees.
The sectors recognised in the 2018 list include creative industry, business, and technology.
Nigerian artistes, actors and actresses, models, filmmakers, and fashion designers were recognised by Forbes as the driving forces in the creative industry.
NAN also reports that Wizkid began his career at age 11. The superstar singer, Afrobeats, reggae and Afro-pop performer became the first ever Nigerian musician with more than one million followers on Twitter.
Davido also a songwriter, singer and record producer. His 2011 single “Dami Duro’’ was well-received throughout Nigeria. He has produced songs for Naeto C, Skales, Tiwa Savage and Sauce Kid. He signed an endorsement with MTM, and also, he has partnership with Guinness Nigeria for “Guinness World of More”. (NAN)
